The affordable Eufy RoboVac 11S struggles to thoroughly clean large areas. But it’s nimble, making it a great option for cleaning a few rooms at a time. One of the shortest and lightest robots that CR has tested, it drives under furniture and wiggles away from hazards like power cords and carpet fringe better than most robots we’ve tested. It’s also quiet, and the cleaning performance is respectable for its price. Eufy makes a handful of robots very similar to the 11S, but this is the most basic model, and one of the few robotic vacuums still available that doesn’t connect to the internet.

Why it’s a good deal: You can get this vacuum for the second-best price we’ve seen. It was only $100 at Eufy for Black Friday, but this is still a great discount. If you’re shopping at eufy, which is curretntly backordered until February, use the discount code WS2411S.

Like the Roomba s9+ (above), the Roomba j7+ is smart enough to learn your home’s layout and then offer up all sorts of control over when, where, and how it cleans. It may  actually be one of the smartest robots, period, as it’s designed to recognize and avoid hazards around your home like pet waste, stray socks, and other items that can snarl a robot in its tracks. Its cleaning performance isn’t as strong as that of the Roomba s9+, but it’s a much nimbler navigator overall and arguably more pleasant to use. The Roomba j7+ comes with an auto-emptying dock; the robot-only Roomba j7 is also available during this Prime Day event.

Why it’s a good deal: This discount matches the lowest we’ve ever seen on this robot vac, and it’s only available at Walmart now. All the other retailers are back to selling this model for full price.

The Shark AI Self-Empty robotic vacuum earns top scores for both pet hair and bare floors, but it isn’t a good candidate for carpet. Once it’s docked, a vacuum built into the docking station automatically sucks the contents from the bin into a bagless container. The upside of this system is that unlike competitors’ models, you don’t need to purchase bags; the downside is that emptying the bin could trigger allergies. Shark robotic vacuums earned a high score for reliability but only a middling score for owner satisfaction.

Why it’s a good deal: This is only $30 more than the low price we saw for the holidays. Its usual sale price is closer to $500.

The Samsung Jet Bot AI+ VR50T95735W is an all-around champ in our robotic vacuum tests, receiving high scores for its ability to clean carpet, bare floors, pet hair, and the edges of walls and corners. It also offers impeccable navigation and receives a high rating for ease of use. It comes with a self-emptying dock and features WiFi connectivity with smartphone control via the SmartThings app.

Why it’s a good deal: This vacuum was selling for closer to $900 during the holidays, but a $200 discount is still worth consideration for this higher-end model.

An upgraded version of the Roomba i2 (and essentially identical to the Roomba i3+), this Roomba i4+ deal will be available throughout the Prime Day event. The i4+ can learn the layout of one level of your home, after which you can use a companion app on your phone to command it to clean specific rooms, while skipping others. It also comes with a dock that automatically empties the robot’s dust bin into a vacuum bag, which can hold one to two months’ worth of debris.

Why it’s a good deal: This is just a few dollars higher than the price we saw for Black Friday.

The Tineco Pure One S11 cleans impressively in all our major tests and has many features to boot. An LED panel shows how much battery life you have left as well as the suction level, which varies when you switch from bare floors to carpet. A sensor detects the amount of debris and adapts the suction power accordingly. If you’re so inclined, you can connect to a Tineco app that indicates cleaning performance, such as battery life, on your smartphone. In CR’s tests, it ran for 22 minutes per charge when using both the high and low settings.

Why it’s a good deal: If you need a vacuum now, this is a good discount for this model. It’s been as low as $300 during major savings events like Prime Day and Black Friday, so you may be able to save more if you can wait until the next big sale.

Miele has a sterling reputation for its plug-in vacuums, and the Triflex HX1 is its first cordless model. It earns top-notch scores on almost all our tests. The coolest part, though, is that you can put its parts together in two different styles: A modern stick-type setup, with the weight at the top and a long shaft that can reach into cramped areas, or a more traditional upright configuration, with better balance but a bulkier middle.

Why it’s a good deal: This is the same sale price we’ve seen for weeks, but inventory appears to be limited now.

This lightweight, cordless Samsung stick vac excels at all CR’s tests. We especially like that the digital display allows you to check the power level, the battery life and maintenance issues such as clogging. In CR tests, it runs for about 36 minutes per charge on low power and 7 minutes on high power.

Why it’s a good deal: For about 13 percent off you get a reliable vacuum with all the bells and whistles.

The cordless Samsung Jet 90 vac scores highly in all CR’s tests and is more powerful than some of its competitors. Our testers like the sleek and solid stand and the digital display that allows you to check the power level, the battery life and maintenance issues. In CR tests, it runs for about 44 minutes per charge on low power and 10 minutes on high power.

Why it’s a good deal: At almost $600 it’s still not cheap—but you are saving over $80 and getting a capable vacuum from a good brand.

The versatile Kenmore Pop-N-Go BC4026 makes an impressive showing on both our bare-floor and pet-hair tests, leaving little to nothing behind. It also earns a Very Good rating for carpet cleaning. The Pop-N-Go name refers to how easy it is to attach the floor brush, and our testers like the way this vacuum maneuvers around and under furniture. Emissions are clean, and this vacuum has robust airflow, making it a good choice if you often use your attachments to clean upholstery.

Why it’s a good deal: This is a more modest discount than Wayfair’s site indicates; the same model is selling for about $319 at several other retailers.

Very similar to Shark’s Navigator NV352, the pricier Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away NV501 has better balance and is easier to steer. It also comes with a handful of helpful extra tools, including a headlight built into the cleaning head, plus an extra-wide upholstery cleaning tool to save time.

Why it’s a good deal: This is nearly $100 off the regular price.

One of the many Sharks in our vacuum ratings, the Shark Rotator Lift-Away ADV DuoClean LA500 rises almost to the top of our bagless upright ratings, acing our tests for bare floors and pet hair and earning a Very Good rating in our carpet-cleaning test. The “Lift-Away” in the model name refers to the fact that you can lift the collection bin away from the main handle and use it as a canister. This comes in handy when cleaning stairs and reaching into corners for cobwebs. Airflow is ample, and the Shark comes with several attachments.

Why it’s a good deal: The original price is reasonable, and the discount makes it even more of a bargain.

The 17-pound bagless Shark Vertex DuoClean has plenty of bells and whistles. Testers like the Duo brush roll, which is great for both carpet and bare floors. The vacuum also picks up pet hair especially well, earning an Excellent rating on that test. It has exceptional suction power and does a solid job containing small dust particles in the dustbin. The lift-away canister makes it easy to clean out-of-the-way places.

Why it’s a good deal: This sale price is $80 more than the best we saw, but Amazon’s the only place to get any discount at all right now.
